Give warmth two cycles, on us

This is a slow practice, so try it for a full 60 nights. If your evenings don't feel warmer and calmer, email us for a full refund — and we'll pause your subscription straight away.

A warming wash, built on real ginger

The ginger here is real and unmistakable. Fresh old ginger juice, grated ginger pulp and pure ginger essential oil go in whole, so you can still see the flecks in the bottle and smell the warmth the moment you open it.

Concentrated, honest, nothing padded out. The cleansing base is amino-acid and coconut-derived, which lifts oil and buildup without stripping — gentle enough for a fragile season.

A long-standing favourite through the confinement month (坐月), and for anyone who simply runs cold.

How to use

  1. Wet hair thoroughly with warm water.
  2. Distribute evenly through hair and work into a lather.
  3. Massage gently into the scalp with your fingertips — this is where the warmth builds.
  4. Rinse clean, then follow with conditioner through the ends.

You may feel a gentle warmth or mild tingling while washing. That's the ginger, and it fades as you rinse. One bottle lasts around four months at three washes a week.

Good to know

Cosmetic product for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs.

The warming sensation is normal. Stop use if you experience burning, redness or persistent irritation. Patch test behind your ear before first use if your scalp is sensitive.

This is a practice, not a pill

Warmth builds wash by wash

A warming ritual works the way all rituals do — through repetition. Small, consistent care, week after week, is what turns a shampoo into something your scalp looks forward to.

Wash 1

First warmth

A gentle heat across the scalp, and a real ginger aroma in the steam.

Week 2

A steady habit

Hair feels soft rather than squeaky; the scalp stops feeling tight.

Month 2

In rhythm

Wash day becomes three warming minutes that are yours alone.

Month 3+

Part of the ritual

The warmth carries from your belly to your scalp — one practice, head to toe.

Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

Fresh old ginger juice, grated ginger pulp and pure ginger essential oil go in whole - so the warmth on your scalp is the plant, not a fragrance. the cleansing base is amino-acid and coconut-derived, which lifts oil without stripping.

Why does my scalp feel warm?

That's the ginger, and it's normal. Expect a comfortable heat and sometimes a mild tingle while you're washing; it fades as you rinse. If it ever burns or stings, rinse out and stop using it.

Is it good for postpartum hair?

It's a gentle wash for a fragile season. Postpartum shedding is hormonal and settles on its own with time - no shampoo changes that, and we won't pretend otherwise. What this does is treat your hair kindly while you wait, with silk protein and amino-acid cleansers instead of harsh detergents.

Is it sulfate-free?

Not quite, and we'd rather say so. It's free from SLS, SLES and silicones, but does contain ammonium lauryl sulfate - a gentler sulfate that gives the lather. If you avoid all sulfates, this isn't your shampoo.

How long does a bottle last?

Around four months at three washes a week.
